The Good ol' days!!!

Remember when this was your phone?

October Photo of the Day

Image
Day 8: Black and White I chose this shot because it says so much without saying a word. A father and son, sharing a moment in silence. The memories made from this small slice of time are priceless.

Contemplation

Image
Cool breeze on a winter’s day, where’d she go?   Time is a friend, foe, something in between Life, strange as it is, moves faster than slow  Stuck in a rut, ten feet deep, so routine.  How do I break free, make my life anew?  Find the strength, break the binds that restrain me The answer’s there, yet blind by my mind’s coup. Reaching dark depths, a futile inquiry  Troubles, like my shadow remains constant Running now brings companionship of one Ache as both the Plaintiff and Respondent Heretofore,  wallow’s a future of none Today starts a new and leaves past behind Free from the former, darkness I unbind.

The Lizard

Image
There once was a lizard upon rock His tongue was quick but no talk Look left and right, all in sight His future was ever so bright Life was grand, then hawk

Friends

Image
It is often we see creatures in the wild, but how often do we enjoy what they bring to our world?

The Conversation

Image
As the sun was setting in late December on a beach in South Carolina, two young ladies discuss their future as they see it. Time appears everlasting to the youth. It is not until the  circumvolution  of the sun around our little world do we start to cherish time as a finite resource.  See more photos at  rjphotos8

Woodpecker

Image
The magic of nature is so calming. To capture a beautiful bird just being a bird is a gift. So often we fail to appreciate the simple things presented before us.

The Shooter

Image
The Shooter One of my favorite shots of recent. Taken on a pistol range, this gentleman is such a happy-go-lucky guy. But this photo shows a bit more. I guess, the most interesting part for me, even though I know him, I have never seen this person before. Deep in thought, age is knocking on the door, but I know he is young at heart.  .
